# 5 × 5.5″ tent cards

A wider, almost square tent. The extra width fits a QR code with a line of text beside it, two columns of drinks, or a name in large letters.

## Specifications

- Visible face: 5″ wide × 5.5″ tall (12.7 × 14 cm)
- Flat sheet: 5 × 16.5″, folded into a tent
- File size: 5.125 × 16.625″ including 1/16″ bleed
- Panels, top to bottom: flap 2.75″ · back 5.5″ (upside down) · front 5.5″ · flap 2.75″
- Stock: 14pt coated card (95 Bright), matte finish
- Print: Full colour (CMYK) on both visible faces
- Finishing: Trimmed, scored and slit. Shipped flat, folds by hand
- Quantities: 100, 250, 500, 750, 1,000, 2,500, 5,000 or 10,000 per design
- Printing time: 4 to 5 business days after you approve the proof
- Bundling: Loose, or counted stacks of 25, 50 or 100 (band or shrink wrap)

## Flat layout

This is the sheet you design. Fold lines are measured from the top edge of the file, bleed included.

Panels top to bottom: flap 2.75″, back face 5.5″ (upside down), front face 5.5″, flap 2.75″. Folds at 2.8125″, 8.3125″, 13.8125″ from the top of the file.

## Where the 5 × 5.5″ works best

- QR codes with a reason to scan: Put the code on the left and the reason (menu, order, pay, review) on the right. See [QR code table tents](https://tent-cards.ca/uses/qr-code-table-tents/).
- Name tents: The wider face fits longer names and titles at a readable size. See [name tents](https://tent-cards.ca/uses/name-tents/).
- Short two-column menus: Wine by the glass and beer on tap, or snacks and drinks, side by side.
- Sponsor and table signs at events: Logos are often wide. The near-square face fits them without shrinking. See [events](https://tent-cards.ca/uses/events/).

## Questions about this size

**Is this the same as a 5×5 tent card?**

Close. Each visible face is 5″ wide and 5.5″ tall. It is the closest standard size to a square tent card that we print.

**What size file do I send?**

The full flat sheet: 5.125 × 16.625″ with bleed, or 5 × 16.5″ trimmed. Fold lines sit 2.8125″, 8.3125″ and 13.8125″ from the top of the file. Get the [free template](https://tent-cards.ca/templates/).

**Why is it more expensive than 4 × 6.25″?**

The sheet is an inch wider, so it uses more card and fewer fit on each press sheet.
