Buffet and catering tent cards
Food labels on a buffet need to be many and varied, while a print run is many identical cards. Here is how caterers make printed tent cards work anyway.

Three approaches that work
Branded write-on labels
Your logo and colours with a blank band for the dish name and allergens. Write with marker or add a printed label for each event. One run lasts many events.
Allergen key
One card per buffet line with the allergen icons you use, so each dish label can stay short.
Standard dishes
If certain dishes appear at most events, print 100 of each. They pay off once you have reused them a few times.
Size and placement
For buffets, the 4 × 6.25″ card is easier to place between chafing dishes. Guests read labels from about an arm's length, so dish names can be smaller than on a table card, but keep allergens clear.
For a single event with 15 unique dishes, printing 100 of each will cost more than it is worth. Use our free template on heavy paper at the office for those.

Questions
Can I wipe cards and reuse them?
A dry wipe works on the coated card. They are not laminated, so cards near sauces will need replacing.
