Table tent cards for restaurants and cafés
The table is the one place every guest looks while they wait. A tent card there sells the dessert, the feature or the happy hour without a server having to remember to mention it.

What restaurants put on tent cards
The cards that pay for themselves ask for one small decision the guest is already close to making.
Desserts and after-dinner drinks
Guests decide on dessert after the plates are cleared. A card with one photo and a price catches that moment.
Features and seasonal items
Patio menu, a holiday special, the fish of the month. Choose items that last a season so the card does not go stale in a week.
Happy hour and weekday offers
Times and days in large type. Lunch guests see the offer and come back after work.
Wi-Fi and QR menus
Network name and password, or a QR code for the menu. See QR code table tents.
Reviews and loyalty
A QR code to your review page or loyalty sign-up, with one line on why it matters to a small business.
Catering and gift cards
The back face is a good place for what you sell beyond the meal.
Making cards last on a busy table
Tent cards get knocked over, splashed and wiped. Put them on the side of the table away from the plates, against the wall or the condiment caddy. Fold a few extra at the start of each week and swap out any that are stained.
The 14pt matte card takes a quick wipe with a dry cloth. It is not laminated, so on patios plan on replacing cards more often. A comparison with acrylic holders explains when a holder is worth it.

Questions
Should the two faces be the same?
Not necessarily. Guests on each side of the table see a different face, so you can show dessert on one face and drinks on the other, or English on one and French on the other.
How often should I change them?
When the offer changes. Cards with long-lasting content (Wi-Fi, reviews, catering) can stay out for months; replace any that are stained.
